Bags of Success

Dyne Drewett and Somerset Farmers’ Markets have marked a successful year’s partnership with the launch of new ethically sourced jute shopping bags.
The firm partnered with the not for profit organisation to help support its marketing campaign and is delighted with the early results of this latest initiative.
“Initially we introduced the bags at a few markets to gauge customer reaction, which proved to be incredibly positive. I’m already spotting the bags on various high streets across Somerset and am really pleased that they’re proving so popular” enthused market coordinator Louise Hall.
“Most of our markets are located in towns which are working hard to become carrier bag free and we’re keen to play our part in achieving this.”
The durable material makes the bags ideal for all food shopping and their striking design features the dates for each market. From May, they will be on sale at each market, priced at just £2 a bag.
Somerset Farmers’ Markets, which have just taken on Burnham-on-Sea’s market, are run regularly throughout the region. Each location offers customers the chance to purchase fresh, nutritious, good quality food direct from the producer, as well as support the local community and economy.
