Mendip Business Breakfast Tackles Property Issues

Dyne Drewett, Old Mill Accountants and Natwest have partnered to host the next Mendip Business Breakfast, which will take place at the Bath and West Showground on Wednesday 15th October.

Business owners operating in the region’s property sector are invited to attend a breakfast seminar next month, which will provide a networking occasion, as well as topical advice from each host firm.

To start the seminar, Nick Oliver of Cooper & Tanner will provide an overview of the current situation in the local commercial and residential property markets. This will be followed by a presentation from Amanda Inch, a partner of law firm Dyne Drewett, who will provide an update on statutory regulations affecting the property sector, explaining the latest changes which will come into effect in October this year.

Natwest will address the requirements of borrowing money for property and suggesting extra help for borrowers in the current climate.

Jolyon Stonehouse, managing partner at Old Mill Accountants and Financial Advisers, will conclude the session with advice on property-related taxation issues. His talk will provide an insight into how changes in Capital Allowances and Capital Gains Tax may affect businesses, particularly in the current economic climate.

The breakfast meeting will start at 7.45 and guests will be provided with a full cooked breakfast. Time for questions will be provided after the presentations and the session will conclude at 9.30am. The event is by invitation only and those interested in attending should contact Hollie Wright at Dyne Drewett on 01935 813691 or email hwright@dynedrewett.com
