About Richard

Richard joined Dyne Drewett in 2009 from a leading City of London practice. As a corporate law specialist, Richard has a wealth of experience in advising businesses and individuals on commercial transactions. His practice encompasses mergers & acquisitions, reorganisations, joint ventures, private equity and corporate finance, in addition to franchising (for both franchisees and franchisors), start up advice and exit strategies.

As a flavour of Richard’s work, recent highlights have included a business disposal valued at over £7 million, the group re-organisation of a London PR agency, the establishment of a worldwide distribution network for a household name, and a private equity/venture capital investment for a health food company.

Richard enjoys helping clients achieve their objectives and, in doing so, has worked with small businesses and entrepreneurs, as well as household names such as Alliance Unichem (now Alliance Boots), Fujifilm, Photo-me International Plc and Clarks shoes. His approach is one of working closely with his clients to understand their business and what is important to them in a deal, appreciating that solutions to problems and clear advice is what clients need to be able to confidently take what are, sometimes difficult, commercial decisions.

Outside the office, Richard is an avid Formula 1 fan, having travelled to various European cities for races, in addition to enjoying playing the piano, listening to music and spending time with friends.
