Richard Pinney read Agriculture at London University then served as a regular officer in the cavalry before settling back in his home county of Dorset as a lawyer. He trained with Battens then sided with Poole & Co when those firms split and was a partner with them from 2006.
Richard’s connection with his clients tends to be on country and rural matters. His farming and equestrian background makes him acutely aware of the special issues faced by rural estates and agricultural businesses. He deals with residential and rural property transactions, farm business tenancies and all aspects of agriculture from simple licences to complex tax planning and succession issues. Richard heads up our Agriculture Team.
When not in the office Richard is often out with his children who are both at school in Sherborne. All his family ride, enjoy skiing and play tennis.
