About Rory

Rory joined the firm in 1999 from South Africa where he previously practised as a private client attorney with a large national law firm. Rory and his wife chose the West Country as an ideal place to put down new roots and raise their young family. They live with their two children in a small village just outside Sherborne.

Having re-qualified as a solicitor in England, Rory became a partner with the firm in 2001. He continues to specialise in private client law including will drafting and inheritance tax planning. He handles all aspects of probate work including estate and trust administration. He also advises on court of protection matters including lasting powers of attorney and receiverships. Rory heads up our Private Client Team alongside Rebecca Beresford.

A love of the outdoors sees Rory and his family camping, sailing or skiing when they get the chance.
